Blogspiration (1): Editing = LeSigh

Blogspiration is a weekly meme hosted by Growing Up YA & Saz101. The meme was created to help spark inspiration among bloggers, readers & writers alike. An inspirational quote/picture/video is posted weekly, on the day of the author's choosing, so that it may inspire creativity, conversation & just a little SOMETHING.

This is my first week to participate in this. I am not sure how I found it but I did learn that "Growing Up YA" and I have the same blog theme and we both love YA...so I think we were meant to be web friends:)

The last few months I have had a heck of a time finishing my novel. But recently, I have been really sticking it to it and making a point to move forward. When I say "finish my novel", I really mean edit. Editing uses a different side of our brains than writing does (at least that's what Dawna says). Thankfully I have a publisher that believes in me and wants me to have a wonderful story that I can be proud of. The point of my blogspiration is: write from you heart and don't give up. Editing is a daunting task but is important! Luckily, I have had the time to hone my writing skills and have learned many things over the past few months. I am growing as a writer and am very appreciative.... thanks to my brilliant talented writer friends.
