The buccaneer blogfest is over and I haven't posted in almost a week. Wanted to take this time to thank everyone who participated. Reading about your lives and writing projects really helped me learn more about each of you. If you really loved the blogfest as much as I did, (I think I can mention this,) then you should save the month of October for something really cool that is in the works. All I can say is...You must have a blog and be a writer. More information will be released very soon but I promise you will NOT want to miss out on this awesome opportunity. I hope Sharon Bayliss doesn't mind that I gave an insiders leak to this HUGE CQ event! I am just too excited but I promise to not say anything else until I have official permission. My lips are sealed but I want to SQUEEEE!!!
Before the fest, I was doing a post each Monday that included different book covers with the same elements. Seriously thinking about retiring that series for awhile and might do weekly reviews on books I have been reading. Speaking of, The Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness is a fantastic read. A friend recommended it, and I have been listening to the audiobook at work. All I can say is I am totally addicted to the characters and I LOVE Matthew.
Literary update: Been working on After the Woods and writing synopsis's for each chapter so I can better fine tune the novel. With the help of one of my new favorite people (HI DAWNA!!) I have a direction and plan on how to do this. It will take a little time, which means I don't know when the novel will be released, but the story will be tight (hopefully) whenever it is finished.
Oh yeah...I am now recording my first audio book ever! I have been given the pleasure of recording Wilde's Fire by Krystal Wade. Happy that all those acting classes I took in college and community involvement was actually worth the time and practice. Seriously, I cannot wait to share it with the world. Krystal's story is wonderful! I hope I can successfully bring the characters to life and give Krystal's beautiful words justice.
So many literary tasks have filled my schedule and that makes me very happy. Seriously, my life is completely different compared to last year. I dreamed of doing this and now I am! Plus, along the way I am meeting awesome like-minded literary people who I can call my friends! This is all too cool!
